With the Occupy Wall Street movement in full swing, some politicans can't understand why protesters are so angry at the nation's largest banks. I guess the notion that Wall Street's actions wrecked our economy and made millions of people poorer doesn't occur to them.
So who drew the best cartoon, Pat Bagley of the Salt-Lake Tribune, or Spanish cartoonist Kap of PoliticalCartoons.com?

Pat Bagley / Salt Lake Tribune

Kap / PoliticalCartoons.com

Both toons are very appropriate, but I'll vote for Kap as presenting BOTH sides of the problem - bankers and government (read: Congress. Note the government figure is not a caricature of the POTUS.)
Agreed, along with their misunderstanding that what happens to the taxpayer will eventually happen to them.
Obama took plenty of Wall Street's money when he wanted to be elected. He owns this too, although I don't claim he's solely responsible. Frankly, the American public can take a share of this too. Keeping up with the Joneses and making sure to know what Snooki is up to (in HD no less) is another facet of this problem. Everyone wants to point the finger but very few will own up to the fact that everyone is at least partially responsible for this.
JimP.... Wall Street invested in Obama after it was quite apparent that the McCain-Palin ticket was going to be defeated. It was a good investment because he took on Geithner and Summers as advisors who are, and were, Wall Streeters themselves.
That doesn't make him any less a part of the problem. My comment was intended to disagree with the "pass" that BinNH was giving the POTUS.
Not giving him a pass, just saying that I think the problem is 80% Congress, 20% POTUS. Your mileage may differ.
Love the long phallic looking nose of the banker picking the citizen's pocket. Its very appropriate..
after all.. the bankers are a bunch of d!ckheads...
