Subscribe to RSSThe world of politics woke up to the shocking news that outspoken conservative blogger and activist Andrew Breitbart died unexpectedly shortly after midnight in Los Angeles.
Breitbart was a political firebrand, and gained much fame by posting videos critical of ACORN and Sherry Sherrod that turned out to be selectively cut and presented to malign his targets. Surprisingly, political cartoonists weren’t too kind to his style of journalism, but everything I read suggests that Breitbart welcomed his haters.

Despite your cynical views. Breitbart was a wonderful, family man with a deep love for his country. He will be missed greatly but his work will be continued by many he inspired and nurtured to stand up and fight for our constitutional liberties and against the anti-American Left. Andrew was a Minuteman patriot. A perfect tribute to Andrew would be a repeat of 2010 national Republican sweep this November. In Christ's name, my prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
While many of the cartoon's, on here & elsewhere, lampooning Breitbart, & the career that he made out of being a fraud, are perhaps cynical and/or sarcastic in some context, in another, much more unrecognized context, they are neither!
They are "Period. Point. Blank." flat-out honest!
He will be greatly missed for what; for being a, politically & socially ignorant, conservative fundamentalist dolt, perhaps??!
There is no great respect for someone who makes a career out of being stupid! If Breitbart were being honest, & albeit politically incorrect, in his view's & statement's then there would really be no room for criticism, at least not from the principle that since he was 'right', after all, at least about enough thing's & in the right context, then fine! George Carlin was 'right', in that respect, and he was eviscerated by the immoral & hypocritical conservative propagandist's, merely for being a self-described Atheist. George Carlin was wrong about many thing's, too, perhaps in the political spectrum in particularly, but he was right about so much and he didn't pick & choose favorites, either; he ripped into ppl regardless of the ideological bandwagon that they were riding upon!
Breitbart showed no love for anything (Save one thing, ..perhaps!), let alone his family or his country and I would love to know where you got that one from! He showed an intense hatred and, perhaps, a love for expressing that hatred, while pissing ppl off! I would have respect for him, for that, if he had been factually correct about Shirley Sherrod, among other pieces of new's that this goofball tried to make a name for himself screaming about... It's the anti-American right that are doing the most damage to this country and Breitbart was one of them; so, perhaps this day is a good day & not a sad one...
If I am being politically incorrect in eviscerating Mr. Breitbart, well, yea; no kidding! It is the conservatives that support certain thing's, such as political correctness, much more so than those of any other ideology, including liberal's. I do it with impunity and a smile...
For the record I am neither a conservative nor a liberal. I'm a "centrist"! When Nancy Pelosi finally bites the dust watch what I say about her, too..
And as a secularist I can say with a sense of poignancy that maybe there is a God if Breitbart is burning in Hell?!

Don't forget Murderer in Ted Kennedy's case. I can't recall Andrew driving hes VW off of a bridge, running from the scene, and then paying the victims family millions in hush money. Maybe that's why Kennedy was "honored" so in his passing, eh?

I can’t take it anymore, THIS IS NOT THE USA I grew up knowing and loving. Where do I start? All three branches of government sucks the big one. When it’s finished with the government , the Federal Reserve, Wall Street, big oil/coal and the big Banks bent the American PEOPLE over and are always trying to stick the big one… (Republican voter seem to like that)
Our Justice Department and law enforcement across the land ABUSE THEIR POWER on an hourly basis. The whole media trash about Breitbart's story on Shirley Sherrod is completely misstated, as Mr. Breitbart said, at the time, he showed the clip to show how the black audience (I think it was NAACP) hooted, hollered, applauded, and screamed joyfully when Sherrod made her statement. If the major media in this country had an honest bone in the entire body, this would have been evident.

A demonstrably false claim. Anyone can go to AB's sites and see the videos in question UNCUT in their entirely, in context.
The Shirly Sherod thing was a testament to the amateurish nature of the white house staff at the time. Andrew did not post those to, or make the claim that Shirly Sherod is or was a racist. He posted them to show the reaction of the NAACP crowd when they still thought she was making racist, ant-white comments. He even pointed out the fact that her speech was one of redemption on her part to move away from that type of thinking. She got a rousing applause from the NAACP when she described her past racist behaviour, but she got no applause when she told them she had been wrong to hold those views.
What a bunch of classless people at MSNBC.

This is just disgusting. This company has stooped to a new low. A good man has passed away and you find it fitting to mock him. No wonder more and more Americans are turning off the 'mainstream' media and opting for anything else. If the mainstream does not like it they mock it and call it a lie.
I seriously doubt Andrew Breitbart actually hated any of you sad little nobodies. But if he had, he'd have been right. You suck. You're not clever; you're not funny. You're barely even capable of walking on your hind legs.

It really is frightening when something like this happens and you realize how many crazy ass koolaid drinking zombies there are out there. I've been watching the cross talk on this since yesterday and everyone saying hateful things about this man have yet to point to one thing he's ever lied about. The Shirley Sherrod video was never about Shirley Sherrod until the Obama administration made it about her. This is what happens when you start to ween addicts off their drug of choice. They lash out at those who attempt to help them. Consume all the slanted lies and hateful rhetoric you can stomach zombies. The truth is out there and no matter how often you repeat the lie no one will ever believe you again.
