Could this be the worst heat wave ever? In Washington, D.C., the temperature has reached 95 degreed for eight straight days - tying records set in 2002, 1993, and 1987. In the midwest, the heat has been so intense that roads have been buckling under the relentless sun, and many are still without power a week after a storm knocked down trees and power lines.

I can't help keep you cool, but I can make the heat more bearable with our new Heatwave cartoon slideshow.
